Rookie Driver of the Month - Mason Mitchell Again!

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Mason does it again! How many months can he stay the rookie driver of the month? This is it because he’s not a rookie anymore. He got a third and 4th and 3rd at Daytona’s Kart Week event at the Daytona International Speedway. He was spun out and recovered to get the 4th and could have won that race. Mason finished ahead of his brother on Sunday.

We’ve been saying for a while that you’ll need to keep an eye on him this season. We are wondering if we’ll see both him and his older brother in R7 this year because he could just improve enough to podium in the tough West Coast series. I’d even venture to say that he’d be a favorite to win the IKF R11 championship. Never underestimate sibling rivalry. ComerJet was started by four brothers that raced together. The pressure to be better is constant when you have brothers running against you all the time.
